Note down each reading right away so nothing gets forgotten.
2. Pick the right tape
Use a soft, flexible tape. Rigid rulers give inaccurate results.
3. Posture matters
Stand upright, breathe gently. Measure bust while exhaling; for waist, a relaxed breath gives the best number.
4. Keep the tape aligned
Keep it flat, no twisting. Level with ground for bust/waist/hips.
5. Dress light
Measure over thin, fitted garments for accuracy.
6. Circumference vs. straight length
Wrap-around (bust, waist, hips) — keep tape level. Straight (shoulder, sleeve) — direct line between points.
7. Record everything
Write down each measurement immediately to avoid re-measuring and ensure a perfect fit.
